Black Eyed Peas
Went to this concert this past Saturday. So did most of the rest of Macau. "Hey, there is the guy who taught my construction safety class sitting in front of us." All of us expats were there, even people I would not characterize to be music fans. We are an entertainment starved lot, we adopted Mecanese. The concert was great. I realized early on it is a new name for essentially the same concert M and I saw in HK last summer. I think Will.i.am lost weight? Lots of teenager hoochie mamas in the crowd and in line at Fatburger at the show. The giveaway of their youth is their impossible lack of hips that no one over the age of 20 would possess. Fergie sweats like a normal, real person and her abs are that good looking, at least from far away. The Venetian Arena rocks - much better acoustics than the Asia World Expo. Can't wait to see all my friends and neighbors next week at Beyonce.

Asian Travel List
So, after spending a year in Macau (after several in Hong Kong) I have decided to make my travel list of places to see in Asia.
This is not some sort of US State Capitals tour - these are places I want to see and spend more time in than just a layover in an airport.
A short list for now, it is:
- Guilin, China
- Shanghai, China
- Luang Prabang, Laos
- Sapporo, Japan
Burma/Myanmar was once on the list but the political scene seems a bit sketchy, so I can put a big fat hold on this for now.
I don't think Manila will make my list as I do not perceive it to be really safe there (although the mangoes may make me change my mind)
I really would like to see Goa, India, as I like beach cities but I suppose that would be part of a broader (e.g. South Asia) list.
This is it for now. Welcome to my blog!
